I will show you my production workshop to introduce you to the different stages of the making process of a ceramic piece. Then I will demonstrate the kneading, centering and throwing of clay. Finally, I invite you to get directly in touch with the medium and put into practise the techniques shown to try to throw a clay bowl on a wheel that will be individually assigned to you. I will be at your side and will guide you throughout the creation process. If you wish to fire and keep the piece you created during the course, we offer a firing, enamelling and a complementary shipping service upon reservation.

During your workshop I will provide you with all the necessary special tools and equipment, an apron and free recycled clay.

BOOKING PROCEDURE

STEP 1: CHECK THE AVAILABLE DATES AND TIME SLOTS AND SELECT THE DESIRED DATE.

STEP 2 - ADD YOUR SELECTION TO YOUR SHOPPING CART AND PLACE YOUR ORDER.

STEP 3 – COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT AT SOLART STUDIO GALLERY TO TAKE PART IN YOUR WORKSHOP.

Receipt of full payment of the amount due officially confirms your booking..

This discovery workshop is open to the general public and is aimed at adults and children aged 8 and over.

If you would like more information or to schedule a more detailed training program tailored to your specific needs, you can contact me directly at 819-428-1765.

I look forward to welcoming you and sharing my passion with you!

What our clients say about this experience:

I had the best time during my intro to pottery course. All three of us (myself and 2 older-elementary-aged children) had a wonderful time. Michelle was able to instruct us through the whole process from initial processing to throwing our first pieces on the wheel. She is clearly a knowledgeable, experienced, and patient instructor; with each of us she could see where we were on our piece, and taught us individually how to hold our hands to shape and correct it. (That probably sounds simple! but pottery is hard and she knew how to demonstrate and instruct so we could be successful, and very pleased with our efforts 🤣) And of course she is an incredibly talented artist--we enjoyed exploring her gallery, too!
