Professional ceramic artist and sculptor Michelle Lemire, owner of the Solart Studio Gallery and mentor for more than twenty years, invites you to discover her universe of creation and attend a private introductory course in clay throwing techniques.
s an introduction to the art of pottery, I will share my artistic approach and present my unique works of art in the art gallery. I will show you my production workshop to introduce you to the different stages of the making process of a ceramic piece. Then I will demonstrate the kneading, centering and throwing of clay. Finally, I invite you to get directly in touch with the medium and put into practise the techniques shown to try to throw a clay bowl on a wheel that will be individually assigned to you. I will be at your side and will guide you throughout the creation process. If you wish to fire and keep the piece you created during the course, we offer a firing, enamelling and a complementary shipping service upon reservation.
During your workshop I will provide you with all the necessary special tools and equipment, an apron and free recycled clay.

CAPACITY AND TARGET AUDIENCE
This introductory workshop is intended for the general public and is aimed at a clientele of adults, teenagers and children 8 years and older. As part of this activity offered in small semi-private groups we welcome from 2 to 4 people maximum.
